Lizzie Bayliss Masterclass 21st/22nd June


This Masterclass is aimed at photographers who have experience with lighting and model photography but who want more information on how to use studio lighting to great effect, and get a new perspective on photographic lighting.

The following topics will be covered:

* How to choose the right lighting effects for different looks, styles, and genres

* Advice on focal length and angles for different styles

* Controlling light level with the use of modifiers

* Balancing natural light and flash

* Getting the best from your model

* Questions and Answers


I’m delighted to be able to welcome back Angelique,one of the leading freelance models in the UK, who was such a star at the first Masterclass, and who will be modelling throughout the day in styles ranging from fashion through to art nude. As well as teaching, I will also share some of the modelling duties with Angelique , including us modelling art nude together for the final set.


The day will run from 10.00am-5.00pm, and the cost of the day is £150 per person, which includes tea/coffee, and a buffet lunch, and should be paid in full at the time of booking.


The course will be strictly limited to SIX people so as to give everyone plenty of hands-on experience and individual attention. When applying, please say which day you prefer, or whether you would be happy to attend on either day.


Specifications: Participants are asked to bring any  DSLR camera with lens of around 50mm-200mm Please give notice if the camera being used is a SONY, or one which is not compatible with radio triggers.


The Masterclass Tutor:


Lizzie Bayliss is one of the leading freelance models in the UK. She works from her own fully-equipped home studio in Wolverhampton, but also tours the regions of the Country, doing special events for local photographers, both as a model and as a tutor. She has also worked abroad, both in Europe, and further afield. She is widely published on websites, and in magazines and trade catalogues. In 2013, she appeared in the film ‘The Look of Love’, starring Steve Coogan. Her book, ‘The Wise Girl’s Guide to Modelling’ is being re-published in 2014 by Thames River Press, and will be available in both paper and ebook format. She is also qualified in Fashion Design and Make-up artistry. Lizzie’s work as a photographer has been widely admired, and she began running tutorial days for photographers in response to popular demand.
